Had a good cliffhanger, that unfortunately was never even brought up in a coherent way in the new book. I agree with the others that Alex seems to have completely lost common sense in this book. I wish I had read the reviews before wasting my money. Rating: - Not the typical Alex Cross but worth the read This is not your typical Alex Cross but I thought it was a great book just the same. I think that James Patterson wanted to take this opportunity to bring a little attention to the horrific goings on in Darfur and Sudan and was able to do so by bringing one of his most beloved characters to the scene of the atrocities. Cross is definitely out of his element here and deeply moved by what he sees. As he keeps saying "people have to know what is going on" .. and that is true. People do have to know. ... Also, as a fan of Vince Flyn, Ted Bell, and WEB Griffin (Costillo) the Cross character in this book is a far cry from an action hero. I will not be reading a Patterson novel in the near future.
